CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The Tiflología XX Argentine Conference with the theme "Tools for the inclusion of people with visual impairment and multiple challenges, under the theme" Growing to include, include for Growth ", organized Argentina by the Association for the Study of Recovery of the Blind and amblyopic - ASAERCA and Patagonia Integral Rehabilitation Center, held in San Carlos de Barilche, on 8, 9 and 10 October 2010,

WHEREAS

The multiple needs and wants of people with visual impairment, deafblindness and multiple challenges, from birth to old age,



RECOMMEND:

1. Disseminate and promote by all possible means, knowledge and compliance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

2. Promote by all media demystification of disability.

3. For people with multiple challenges, put aside the clinical conceptualization to approach a more connected to the type of support they require and the challenges that arise in relation to communication, mobility and access to the environment.

4. Overwhelmingly to ratify in all instances, the value of braille as a system to initiate and sustain literacy.

5. Promote with all emphasis the teaching of braille musicography.

6. Argue that the Braille system and new technologies complement and enhance its joint use.

7. Support university initiatives on accessibility and resources tiflotechnological.

8. Encourage the establishment of resource rooms tiflotechnological open to all levels of education and service to the community by education ministries and authorities.

9. Support and disseminate the space of inclusion from early childhood to build a society capable of taking responsibility and develop policies in this regard.

10. Ensure that the Ministries of Education in the country believe charges of psychologists and psychologists in the school teams attended by visually impaired adolescents.

11. Ensure that in relation to students with visual disabilities and challenges count multiple spaces to share experiences.

12. Promote the inclusion of children and youth with visual impairment in arts subjects such as music, sculpture, theater and dance in public schools they attend.

13. Encourage the inclusion of children and young people with visual disabilities in sports activities in schools and institutions they attend.

14. Combat misinformation eye in all areas and promote public campaigns for this purpose.

15. Promote academic and non-university tertiary-university-of teachers to interpret the reports eye of students with visual impairments.

16. Promote the creation of spaces for health-education relationship across the country from the level of early stimulation.

17. Foster adequate training of professionals to meet the special educational needs of students with multiple challenges, in order to provide a quality education.

18. Promote training of professionals to work in the rehabilitation of persons with visual disabilities.

19. Encourage the professional inclusion is part of rehabilitation.

20. Work on proposals after the compulsory school age students with multiple challenges to cover an area not adequately served at present.

21. Enforce labor quotas established by law and the provinces to request the promulgation of decrees with the same spirit as the No. 312 of the National Executive on this issue.

22. Promote inclusion of people with visual disabilities on the professional staff of public institutions and NGOs.

23. To promote the training of blind people as professional librarians encouraged if such a vocation and seek to organize a national meeting of the experts.

24. Emphasize the benefits of institutional networking designed to achieve educational inclusion, family and community.

25. Promote the creation and dissemination of websites and blogs as sources of resources and information on visual impairment.

26. Organize by ASAERCA a meeting dedicated to legal topics to discuss and publicize the rights which legitimately assist people with visual disabilities in the areas of health, education, work, etc.. The Interdepartmental Commission of the Bar of the Social Welfare Fund of the Province of Buenos Aires will give their cooperation to this end and the participants of Salta and Tucuman were offered as possible venues.

Given the advances in technology, the constraints of distance and extent of our country,




propose:

1. Build a virtual network of parents of children and young blind and low vision at the national level.
new families who have babies who are blind or low vision from birth or early childhood may join it from the high neonatal.
This network can be related to APAPREM - Argentina Association of Parents of premature babies, and health workers and education.

2. The terminology used today, it would seem "advanced" may mask the ability to provide our children and young people develop their skills through a systematic work, to be trained and have the same opportunities as the rest of the population.

3. Parents concerned with children and youth with multiple challenges, advice, containment, training, outreach to the past technological advances that allow them to develop their full potential.

4. It is imperative to give them the tools to develop their capacity according to their personal interests and their vocation and throw them into the cultural world and work with an eye above all they are made and happy people.

XXI CONFERENCE VENUE OF ARGENTINE
