Current challenges present in the agendas of organizations of blind and low vision in Latin America, but are the same as that occupied our concerns in the eighties and nineties of the twentieth century, greatly increased the role of actions we need to take to ensure this segment decent living conditions, equality and access to citizenship rights.
The right to work, education, health, access to goods and information and communication products, the implementation of programs to promote access to technologies, are some of our most important demands, which call for action a movement strong, organized and tuned with goals of development and growth in the medium and long term in our continent.
And how we get out of a scenario in which organizations are still fragile, some without acknowledgment or performance space with government institutions and management bodies of public policy? The Brazilian experience tells us that the way empowerment is possible for our unification. The word unity has been present in our discussion since the eighties of the twentieth century, however it was not until 2008 that we realize that experience by bringing together the two entities into a single nationally representative, National Organization of Blind Brazil (ONCB) initiating a trajectory of space conquest with government bodies, councils representing civil society, private bodies to promote labor and goods and services.
ONCB The institution as a single national representation of blind people throughout the country, structured so that the five regions are represented on its board, also resulted in the reorganization of local organizations based in the municipalities and Brazilian states around a common agenda of actions that seek to minimize the unfavorable rates of access to public policy income and work for our segment.
Two years lived in the sign of unity and show us a path of growth within the segment as well as recognition and respect on the part of government and civil society organizations. Young leaders with creativity and intelligence face the challenge of leading the new organization and make it their constituents spokesman, distributed in different geographical regions and subjected to various socioeconomic and cultural conditions.

Education and Culture .- A unanimous proposal of the Board of the Latin American Blind Union, postal vote was taken by the Executive Committee the appointment of Professor Cristina Sanz (Argentina) to fill the vacancy of the Secretariat.
After completing the voting process, Professor Cristina Sanz has joined the Executive Committee as Secretary ULAC Education with specialized functions and Culture until the end of the period.
should be noted that Maria Cristina Sanz has joined the Executive Committee of our Union between 1990 and 2000, as head of the then Commission on Education and Culture.

'gender-equity and has launched the course "RIGHTS, THE APPLICABILITY OF CDPD, and advocacy." In a first stage, the initiative will take place in Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.
This course, attending classes, is intended for visually impaired women, representatives of different organizations addressing the issue. The aim of this course is to inform participants that the legal framework to enable appropriate covers the legal tools to enhance their participation in society, with the ultimate aim of encouraging them to multiply what they learned and to support and lead to his peers and colleagues in the advocacy process.

.- In order to provide a space for dialogue, discussion and reflection on the situation of young people visually impaired are invited to all the young Latin Americans with visual disabilities aged between 15 and 30, to participate in the Virtual Forum "JóvenesULAC", which will reopen from July.

Bolivia: Rehabilitation in the table .- From 12 to 16 July next will be held at the Training Center of AECI in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, the course "Integrated Model of Rehabilitation Services People with Visual Impairment: A path to social inclusion work. "
The course aims to foster a rehabilitation model upgraded to the reality of the century society XXI, will also be the framework for the presentation of the updated edition of the handbook for the rehabilitation of the Latin American Union of the Blind.
Central: Production of materials .- Nicaragua and El Salvador have been chosen by the CERLALC as subregional headquarters for two training sessions on producing materials in accessible media.
Under the agreement, ULAC CERLALC is carried out this training to train more than forty people from Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama and the host countries. The aim is to strengthen the Braille and audio production in Central America.
Mar del Plata, Argentina: 25 anniversary of ULAC .- Next November 15 Latin American Blind Union turns 25 years working for Typhlological movement in our region.
In this framework, will be held a day-seminar open to the public which will address various topics related to both the history of the organization, as well as visual impairment in general.

Visually Impaired .- The Board resolved ULAC unanimously to postpone the implementation of the Latin American Festival final performers visually impaired by 2011. This decision

Argentina Argentina .- The Federation of Institutions for blind and partially sighted (FAIC) in conjunction with a local producer, has managed to incorporate audio description to the regular programming channel Encounter signal from the Ministry of National Education.
This service, available Monday through Friday in prime time, includes a voice-over information that enables people with blindness or low vision to access the visual content of the program.
Brazil .- The National Organization of Blind Brazil (ONCB) has managed the institution of the national day of Braille in that country.
The rule states that recently adopted on 8 April of each year will mark the national day of Braille, and on that date, public and private entities must conduct events to recall the memory of Louis Braille spreading the importance of this system in education, rehabilitation, and training for people with visual disabilities.
Mexico .- For the second consecutive year the Mexican Agency promote the coordinated development of the Visually Impaired IAP, ended last April, with the support of the Coordination of Social and Community Development at the University La Salle, printing 14,000 Braille volumes of 105 literary works to be donated to 40 reading rooms adapted. This was done to provide children, youth and adults with visual impairment in Mexico the opportunity to access them.
is estimated that potential users of this project may exceed eight thousand five hundred thousand people with visual impairment who has registered on the National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics of Mexico (INEGI).
This action of the Salle University responds to Freedom of Information and access to a print culture that allows visually impaired people enjoy reading in full autonomy and independence.
Venezuela .- Between 4 and 5 June, was held the XIV Venezuelan Council meeting of Braille. This is a functional body attached to the Secretariat of Education and Culture of the Venezuelan Federation of the Blind Institution, which promotes and disseminates it pertains to the system of touch reading and writing. The event took place in the facilities at the Recreation INCRETSOL in the town of Higuerote, Miranda State, with the assistance of some 70 delegates from most of the country.

-WIPO SCCR meeting .- From 21 to 24 June in Geneva, Switzerland, the meeting of the Council of Copyright and Related Rights of the World Intellectual Property Organization Intellectual instance in which there were further discussions on the need for an international legal framework to provide for minimal exceptions to copyright in books for the visually impaired.
After tough negotiations in which Latin American governments held firm in supporting the draft treaty presented by the UMC, the session ended without conclusions, as reported by the representative of the campaign ULAC Right to Read, Paul Lecuona.

This is an adaptation star wars what happened last week, but it also has a version based on another Famous Sci-Fi film (I leave the mystery to where the list has to be a surprise) I hope not to touch any chord jejejeje BB users. On the other side next week as a vacation Yay! so these last two days of class between deliveries and other insurance will have an anecdote to illustrate;) 
After the presentations that made my illustration students and the kind of introduction to photoshop we made in the workshop I was eager to try new things, so it was a picture of popcorn in the previous post. Today I decided to try something more realistic, I found a tutorial for painting skin here and started drawing. I am very satisfied with the result I can not see and I can not believe that is all digital. 
here part of the filmmaking process step by step. 
This profile memory did popcorn from scratch in photoshop. What I like coloring with the tablet was that for the first time I could maintain uniformity in the direction of the line that normally could not complete with crayons. Clear that working with layers also helps a lot ... Ctrl Z Live jejeje
